FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES BELOW FOR THE FIRST FEW DAYS

  1. Turn off all automatic sprinklers for 48 hours. Irrigation, drainage, and rain can damage the curb during the first 24 hours.
  2. The curbing does not need to be sprayed with water.
  3. Keep pets, children and objects away from the curb for at least 48 hours. It will be “hard” to the touch prior to this point, but still needs several days to fully cure.
  4. Sod laying, sprinkler work and landscape work can be started 24 hours after installation; however, caution should be taken as shovels, picks and wheelbarrows can damage the curb for several more days.
  5. If you have a landscape contractor working for you, caution him about protecting the curb from damage. If wheelbarrows are ever used for hauling rock or mulch materials over the curb, put a mound of dirt over the top and sides (6” deep), or build a ramp over the curb to keep the weight from cracking it.
  6. When curbing is installed on a pre-established lawn, there will be a small void between the curb and grass. After several days this gap can be reseeded if you choose.
  7. If the curbing is damaged, we can repair it for a minimum charge. Keep in mind however, that colored and/or decorative textures are very difficult to match exactly. Before repairs are requested, consider how noticeable the damage is.

ONGOING GUIDELINES

  1. If you have a landscape contractor working for you, caution him about protecting the curb from damage. If wheelbarrows are ever used for hauling rock or mulch materials over the curb, put a mound of dirt over the top and sides (6” deep), or build a ramp over the curb to keep the weight from cracking it.
  2. NEVER allow a tractor or truck to run over the curb.
cence can be removed with a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water.
    3. Efflorescence ( white powdery substance ) can appear on occasion. It is not harmful, but can be unattractive. It is usually a result of the curb getting wet prior to curing. Efflorescence can be removed with a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water.
  3. If the curbing is damaged, we can repair it for a minimum charge. Keep in mind however, that colored and/or decorative textures are very difficult to match exactly. Before repairs are requested, consider how noticeable the damage is.

WARRANTY

  1. Your curbing has a two year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. We will replace it at no charge if the defect is caused by the materials we used or the way it was installed.
  2. Concrete curbing, like any other concrete product can and will crack. However, we take preventative measures ( expansion cuts ) to avoid this and experience very little cracking in our product.
